This kit is massive and heavy. The staircase base is cast in solid resin and measures approximately 15" tall - Sinbad/skeleton figure adds another 7.5". I've had this kit forever - obviously it was worked on - there is some putty, some dusted primer on Sinbad (looks dirty but is totally fine), the skeleton was put together w/ some super-glue and epoxy-glue (but came apart again during storage). The skeleton is cast from white metal/pewter, so is the magic lamp and both swords (these items polish up very nicely). Castings are good - no real flaws - see photographs.
Definitely a builder's kit. I included some photographs of a finished kit that I found via a google-search (just type in: doctors model mansion sinbad) to show what great potential this kit has. Once properly built and painted, this would have to be one of the nicest Harryhausen/7th Voyage kits available. I believe that very few of these were made - at least the version with the full staircase base. I realize the kit looks a little rough right now - but with a little bit of care and skill, it can be made into a real showpiece. The item "Ultra Rare Sinbad vs Skeleton Diorama Resin Model Kit 7th Voyage Bob Bagby HUGE" is in sale since Friday, June 17, 2016.
