Rare Ray Harryhausen Ymir Maquette Solid Resin Casting

Extremely Rare, Ray Harryhausen Ymir maquette casting from the film, 20 Million Miles to Earth (Columbia, 1957). This is a large Solid Resin Casting made and offered for an extremely limited run in 2004 by Anthony Restorations and was the only officially licensed (Sony) and molded from the original Harryhausen Ymir Maquette. The original Ymir stop-motion animation puppet. Designed and sculpted by Ray Harryhausen. Was stripped of its latex skin and it's armature re-used. Before being cannibalized for parts, the puppet was molded and a plaster master sculpture was created by Harryhausen and subsequently. Given as a gift to'Famous Monsters of Filmland', Forrest J Ackerman.

This figure is cast in resin and is identical to Ray's original Animation puppet in size and detail. 11 1/2 inches tall and 18 1/2 in. This is exceptional piece is in mint condition, unpainted and primed white.
